RMS is currently recruiting a Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) to work in its Cosby Center. The BHC will provide diagnosis, consultation, brief interventions, education, and treatment planning for psychological issues in the primary care setting. Master of Social Work or Doctoral degree in Psychology preferred, other degrees considered (MFT/LPC). TN license required. Experience is a plus and Spanish speakers are encouraged to apply. EOE. RMS is seeking a highly-motivated person to serve as a Community Outreach Worker/Interpreter for 8 to 10 weeks in rural East Tennessee starting in July 2018.

Through outreach, support, and case management, our goal is to improve health services to farmworkers. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: performing community outreach; interpreting in a clinical setting; providing health education; assisting with referrals to care and services.

Ideal applicant:

  • Able to read, write and speak both English and Haitian Creole. Fluency in spoken Haitian Creole and knowledge of Haitian culture required.
  • Interested in the health field and farmworker physical, mental, occupational, and environmental health.
  • Ideal for public health, nursing, and pre-med students.

Local travel required. Some evenings and/or weekends may be required. Housing available if needed. Hours per week 30-40.
RN Care Coordinator/Manager: Assist providers and nurses in the management of the health care needs of patients, prepare nurses and providers for upcoming patient encounters, assist with compilation of needed records. Will also perform comprehensive assessment of health determinants, additional needs and barriers to care for care-managed patients and use that information to assist those patients in navigating the health care system to improve outcomes. Assist care-managed patients with identification of self-management goals, barriers to those goals, and planning to overcome barriers. Perform routine patient care within scope of RN training. Coordinate needed referrals to specialist, outside resources, and enabling services.
